According to China News, Daqing Oilfield's storage, transport and sales branch continues to grow its mechanical tank-cleaning business. For a 10,000 m³ crude tank, manual cleaning used to take over 20 days, while mechanical cleaning shortens it to about 10 days with a bottom-oil recovery rate above 98%, achieving 'every drop returned to storage'.

To date, the center has used mechanical cleaning on 1,024 crude tanks, 1,387 wastewater settling tanks and nearly 472 refined-oil tanks, recovering about 1.1172 million tons of crude oil, with mechanical cleaning patents grown to 9, and has undertaken the drafting of the national Safety Operation Guide for Onshore Oilfield Tank Cleaning.

Industry experts note that mechanical cleaning significantly outperforms manual cleaning in safety, efficiency and resource recovery, becoming the mainstream direction and providing strong evidence for 'source treatment' solutions such as anti-sedimentation jet equipment.
